Web Design and Build

Building brick

The core of 16-5's business is designing
and building web sites that work.

A typical web project would consists of the following stages:

Project Planning

We sit down with you and decide on the best timescale for the project and when each of the separate building blocks have to be in place. You'll always know what to expect from a 16-5 project and we'll keep you advised of scheduling at every stage of the build.

Domain registration and hosting

16-5 then register and host the domain name and ending (.com, .org, .co.uk etc) that came out of the initial consultancy process.

Site mapping and navigation design

We help design an intuitive, easy structure for your information that will help your visitors find what they want on your site so that we don't confuse or frustrate them.

Creating and testing the site

We now construct your web site using all the information we've gleaned from the planning process.

Client Documentation

A web site can be as simple as a page letting the world know you're there or a complex online store with multiple databases. Either way we'll give you full documentation about the structure of your site so that you retain the ultimate control.

Client training

If you decide that you'd like to maintain some or all of the site in-house we can give you training that allows you to do that. For a few hours of your time and a very modest investment in software you can take control of your own press releases, news items, job vacancies and more.

Post-implementation review

At the end of a project we'll sit down with you and review how the build and deployment went, any issues that have arisen and look at the next steps in maintaining and publicising your new site.
